Frequently asked questions about Building

How does Building collect documents?

Documents can be uploaded to Building manually using our templates or via API to supported real estate software. Our service is designed to work with all applicable file types.

How is documentation standardized to ensure consistency?

At this time, Building cannot standardize the data itself, but is working to establish expectations and norms of full lifecycle data, beginning with LOD400 BIM.

What if I'm missing a document that is required by the template?

All documents are foundational to a successful real estate development and a missing document would suggest a groundbreaking error. If this assessment is inaccurate, we will work with the client to bypass the document.

What modeling tools are provided with Building?

While BIM helps model hard costs and timelines, Building is currently equipped with pre-consutrction appraisal, i.e. feasibility, and will later have a broader suite of risk assessment tools.
